In this exhibition space in the heart of Paris’s 8th arrondissement, the Mitterrand Gallery wanted to protect the works of art from prolonged exposure to natural light, while maintaining a soft and controlled lighting atmosphere.
We installed roller blinds positioned in matt white lacquered recessed profi les, designed to blend visually into the gallery’s architecture. This solution provides eff ective protection against UV rays, while maintaining a quality of light suitable for viewing the works.
We supplied M1 fi re-retardant certifi ed fabrics with UV protection properties. Most of the blinds are automated and connected to the existing KNX home automation system, allowing them to be integrated into automated scenarios and controlled via tablets and Meljac switches. For certain specifi c openings, blinds were fi xed directly to the windows, while maintaining an aesthetic alignment with the whole. The same fabric was used for all the blinds, with the same low fi nish and the fabric sewn around the weight bar.
