The Design Wave Curtain by Tred

Rideau à vagues Design par Tred

Our wave heading technique, combined with a supple, well-structured fabric, gives curtains a fluid, continuous, and precisely controlled drape. This type of finish creates a rhythmic, elegant line that integrates seamlessly into the most demanding professional environments.

It also optimises space: the curtain stacks into compact, neatly aligned waves at the sides. Widely appreciated in corporate interiors, this solution combines refined aesthetics, functionality, and compatibility with curved, recessed, or motorised tracks.

Based on a regular alternation of soft, harmonious folds, this heading style ensures excellent stability. The fabric is suspended on a system of gliders or rollers connected at fixed intervals, creating the most uniform wave possible along the full height of the curtain.
The higher the ceiling, the deeper the waves—and the more fabric required per linear metre—to maintain an elegant and generous drape.

Regular waves + acoustic fabric:

When acoustic performance is a priority, this wave system—allowing control over the depth and density of the folds—is especially effective.

At Tred, we frequently use this technique for space division projects or floor-to-ceiling glass treatments, often combined with an aesthetic finish known as “double-sided” or “double-head”. This finishing method ensures a refined look, concealing the “technical side” of the curtain—no visible hooks, pleating tape, or standard seams. In some cases, even hem-free connections are used for an ultra-discreet finish.

Numerous project references using this technique are available upon request.
